What is SWEET?
 

Şeker Securities makes possible for domestic investors to invest in foreign fixed income securities and equities. Our customers can give their orders on line through Şeker Securities’ internet branch.

Şeker Securities’ “Foreign Bourses Operation Module”, a milestone in Turkish capital markets history, has been presented to the use of domestic investors since March 28, 2006.

Through SWEET (Seker Worldwide Exchanges and Electronic Trading), it is possible to have access to 28 foreign bourses in which there are approximately 500,000 securities. Besides, you can take a look at fundamental reports including technical analysis regarding equities you are interested in.

The only thing you need to do is to open an investment account at Şeker Securities with an internet password and sign the intermediation agreement for selling/buying financial instruments in foreign markets.

How does SWEET work?

The first step is to have access to our internet site through your internet password. You can have access to related foreign bourses by clicking on foreign bourses icon which is located on the left bottom of the screen.

While our customers can invest in equities, investment funds and other fixed income securities, they will be able to track the prices of those instruments on line with their portfolios.

Şeker Securities’ customers can give their orders through their accounts within the limits of outstanding balances (or Cash + Liquid Fund + O/N Repo). In other words, it is not a must to have foreign exchange in your account.

It is not a must to have foreign exchange in your account. Required amount for the execution of your order is firstly converted to EUROs, over Şekerbank’s daily fX rates and reflected to your account. In addition, if some fX is deposited in your account, that amount may also be used in line with the agreement you have made with Şeker Securities.

Our customers have access to rich & free information on securities - based on both fundamental and technical analysis - in English and Turkish prior to taking investment decisions.

Thus, while you evaluate the analysis of a company you are interested in, you will have access to other alternative companies selected in parallel to your preferences.
